At Elpis College, we recognize the value of 10 weeks of summer vacation. That is why we have developed programs that use the summer holidays in the best academic way possible.

We offer courses in English, math, science, business and more. Choose from three sessions: July (hybrid day classes), August (hybrid day classes), July and August (online night classes).
Students can take advantage of our small class sizes and quiet learning environment to make the most of their two-month vacation. And don’t worry … our schedule ensures that there’s time left over for some much-needed R & R.

- Monday – Thursday (all classes online)

If you are entering high school for the first time this coming September, this program is for you. We offer lessons in academic, social, and financial expectations of being a high-school student. Be introduced to general curricula and course workloads, and the demands of the IB and AP programs.

- Learn how to create and rearrange your class timetable.
- Find out how to manage your time wisely while balancing school, work, and extracurricular activities.
- Be introduced to the OSSD and its requirements, including community-service hours and the literacy test.
- Discover the eight Areas of Knowledge in IB, as well as the TOK paper and Extended Essay.
- Acquaint yourself with the AP program, courses, and exams.

Why take a preview course?
- Get a head start on next semester's novels ... Of Mice and Men? The Chrysalids? Ender's Game?
- Reacquaint yourself with the Bard through Macbeth, Hamlet, or Othello.
- Brush up on writing skills for next year's English class. Refresh your knowledge of subject-verb agreements, topic vs. theme sentences, and punctuating quotations, among other lessons.
- Review that tricky unit in math (parabolas, derivatives, sine/cosine/tangent ... you know which ones scare you).
- Get a good grip on science (nomenclature, organ systems), and be introduced to new topics (stoichiometry, gravitational fields, orgo ... and their friends).
